Liquid Project is Efraín Foglia´s space dedicated to the development of projects with different means, focused to analyze the intersection between art and communication.

In this space exists an interest for theory texts with reference to the contemporary culture which reflect on the social and cultural changes from these globalised times as consequence of the wealth of daily information and the impact of new technologies on society.

Efraín Foglia is an artist, designer and associate professor at the Digital Communication Department, Universitat de Vic in Barcelona. He is also consulting professor at the Open University in Catalonia. He studied Graphic Communication Design in Mexico City, specialized in NewMedia Art in Weimar, Germany, and has obtained the Advanced Studies Diploma in the doctoral program Art and Media Culture at the Universitat de Barcelona.

His work as designer has been awarded and exhibited in United States, Japan, Mexico, Germany and Spain. Since 1999 he combines his work as a designer with multidisciplinary projects related to the digital culture in the areas of communication and art.

His interest in the research field is centred on the design and study of media devices directed to the social participation and the relation that exists between globalisation and the knowledge creative networks. 

He was born in Mexico City and since 2003 lives and works in Barcelona.
